Laminate
Flooring
The laminate floor is normally a high density
fibre (HDF) board which is laminated on the top to give the appearance
of real wood. They produce a similar look as a real wood floor at a much
lower price.
Laminate is scratch resistant and hard wearing, and
can be used for heavy wear areas. A laminate can withstand light spillages
but we do not recommened using it in a bathroom or a utility room. Laminates
are noisier to live with than real wood and consideration needs to be
given if you are thinking of having it on a first floor as the sound can
travel to the floor below.
