As you can see in the menu on the left there are many types of hard flooring to choose from. At Milners we specialise in helping you to make the right decision so that you can choose the hard flooring that not only looks good, but is going to be suitable for the environment it’s fitted in.

Wood expands and contracts depending on the humidity of the room, so if the room is prone to extreme humidity changes, eg. Bathrooms or utility rooms, we do not recommend the use of wood. Normal adult use in kitchens and conservatories are also prone to a lesser humidity change, therefore we would recommend the use of an engineered board which has more tolerance due to it’s split construction. If you would like to have a wood look in an unsuitable area, it would be worth considering an Amtico or Karndean floor.
