Patterned Carpets
There are three main varieties of patterned
carpets. The original patterned carpet was an Axminster, which is
woven carpet, with a minimum of 80% wool and extremely hard wearing,
and can hide a multitude of sins.
|
This is a very high quality carpet and can look extremely
good for many years. The second type is a non-woven wool carpet, which,
through recent manufacturing developments, has enabled manufacturers to
produce a less expensive alternative to the traditional methods. It is
still a very good quality and should consist of a minimum 80% wool. The
cheaper alternative is a polypropolyne or nylon copy of the above but
may not wear like the above and can flatten with time.
