Natural Carpets
These have become very fashionable
in recent years and can be referred to as a ‘natural’
carpet. They achieve a very good look and can be made from a variety
of materials including sisal, coir, jute, paper or wool.
Carpets manufactured using berber-type yarns
involve the random use of natural colours and effects. When seen
in broadloom form this may show a lined effect, which is not always
apparent in small samples. This is not a manufacturing defect but
an authentic characteristic of the product. You also need to be
aware of where you have the joins for this carpet as it does not
join well.

These carpets are not ideal if you have cats or pets
with long claws as the loop can come up with constant catching of claws.
Stains or marks can be hard to remove, as you cannot get into the pile,
unlike cut pile carpets and for heavy wear areas the loop pile can ‘fuzz-up’
slightly.
Milners stock a wide selection of natural carpets
and you can find out more about the brands we stock through looking at
the links to the right. And of course, please do contact
